When you apply to Foothill College you are issued an 8-digit CWID (Campuswide ID)/Student ID number by Admissions & Records. This number gives you access to your MyPortal account where you register for classes, connect with your records & resources, and access your online courses.
After you have applied and have received a confirmation email from Admissions & Records that they have processed your application, there is a bit of a lag when the registration system syncs with Canvas. Therefore, you will need to wait 1-2 hours after your application is processed before you can access Canvas.
Your Canvas login is directly associated with your MyPortal login. If you are having trouble logging into Canvas, you need to make sure you are able to login to MyPortal first.

If you still need assistance with MyPortal login, you will need to contact Admissions & Records at admissions@foothill.edu or 650.949.7325. You can also submit questions through their Help Form. There is also a chatbot in the bottom right corner of their webpages.
Once you are able to login to MyPortal, you will be able to access Foothill College Canvas.
